This spring 23 women came together for our first Learn and Perform, programme, and what a delightful journey it turned out to be.
Over six Thursday evenings participants learned three pieces from scratch, rehearsed alongside Impromptu members and took part in a special workshop day with our Musical Director Nat and singing teacher Phillida. On 21st May, they performed those pieces live, in front of a real audience.
The feedback has been wonderful. Participants told us they loved the friendly atmosphere, the challenge of learning to read music, the breathing and vocal technique and above all, the feeling of working together towards something.

Mrs Sunderland festival success!
On Saturday 21st February we participated in the prestigious Mrs Sunderland Festival (choral competition day) in Huddersfield. There were some fantastic choirs and we were delighted to win the adult/mixed age small choir class as well as being placed third in the choir programme class.
